    2. I have much DUNCAN info because my great grandfather Henry Franklin REEDS 1834-1914 m. 2) Alice Irene DUNCAN 1854-1896 of Lincoln Co., Missouri. She is of the Rev. Lewis DUNCAN line(James, William, William, William) from Culpeper Co., Va. Now I have discovered that said Henry REEDS was also of the DUNCANs, but I have a brick wall--Joseph DUNCAN 1710 King Geo. Joseph Duncan lived and died (will probated October 10, 1793, Fauquier County Will Book) in Fauquier County, Virginia, near the present site of Morrisville, with his wife Lydia. About 1803, his son, Howson Hooe Duncan, moved to Lincoln County, Kentucky, with his wife, Agnes Johnson, daughter of Samuel, buying about 100 acres on the east side of the road from Danville to Col. Shelby’s on the waters of Clarke’s Run. This Howson had a son, Joseph Duncan, born July 27, 1781, in Fauquier County, Virginia, who came to Kentucky, about 1803, with his father. Joseph was married in Lincoln County, Kentucky to Polly (Mary) Hite, August 15, 1806. Joseph and his wife moved to Hardin County, Kentucky, about 1825, and both died there. Joseph, about 1834 and Polly, in the 1860’s. Polly ’s father came from Virginia with Col. Evan Rogers and they settled near each other in the vicinity of Danville. She had a brother, Reed Hite, who married Lucinda Rogers (daughter of Col. Evan Rogers), June 11, 1829, Mercer County, Kentucky, and then started for the west. They went as far as Missouri, stayed awhile, and then returned to Kentucky, settling near Lebanon. Polly also had a sister, Priscilla, who married William McGraw, January 23, 1812. Don’t know the parents of Polly Hite. Howson Hooe Duncan married Lucretia Wortham of Bardstown, Kentucky, August 1, 1836, with Samuel Ross as guardian. Not sure of Lucretia’s parents or where they came from. Prince William Co. VA Deeds L-160: 26 Dec. 1748, William Bumburry & wife Elizabeth of Stafford Co.
