01/27/04 Listers: Does anyone know where the general boundries of the Overwharton Parish were? I had always assumed the Episcopal church at Aquia in Stafford was the focal point; And it included the general area within the present day Stafford County. Here is my problem: I have some people listed as born and married in Overwharton Records; But they are NOT on the personal property tax records. This seems odd to me. Were parts of Prince William, King George, Fauquier or Spotsylvania included in Overwharton Parish? Why would some one in, say Warrenton, go all the way to Aquia to attend church? Thanks, Skip
