    1. Alexander Green family in Markham
    2. Carolyn Green
    3. I have a copy of a letter written in the 1950s by a daughter of Edward A. Green of Front Royal, a son of Moses Green and Harriett Basye of Amissville. In it she states : " Jas. R. Green of Markham has claimed he was my father's 2nd cousin- I thought this might be so as they had the family names & looked very much like my immediate relatives." Through research at the Fauquier record room and library, I have tentatively established the family line as follows: James Robert Green [1914-1968] son of Alexander G. Green [1877-1950] grandson of James Robert Green [1844-1929] greatgrandson of Alexander G. Green [1812-1886] greatgreatgrandson of William Green [cir 1780-1854] I cannot tie this line into Edward A. Green's line of Culpeper county: Edward A. Green [1836-1918] son of Moses Green [cir 1790-1846] grandson of William Green [cir 1750-cir 1831] greatgrandson of James Green [?-1766]married to Elizabeth Tapp by 1748 Second cousins would imply a shared greatgrandparent, but the dates are wrong. Any thoughts on this letter's comments? thanks Carolyn
