Does anyone know anything about a book by John Wayland called Germanna: Outpost of Adventure 1714-1956 I was just down at the library of congress researching copyright status on Dr. Waylands many history books (mostly about the Shenandoah Valley) and noticed this short (102 page) booklet on Germanna written in 1956 with an expired copyright. I don't usually reprint short books like this but with the quality and stature of Dr. Wayland's research and the subject matter I thought it might be worth trying to find a copy and reprinting it. Does anyone know anything about it? It was reprinted once in 1979 but that was apparently a small run as only one used copy is listed for sale, and that at $25. I have a copy of his 1909 German Element of the Shenandoah Valley that was actually his doctral thesis and several others by him on Harrisonburg, Shenandoah county, Rockingham Co., etc. Paul Redden www.yesterbooks.com
