Genealogy is a lot more fun than taxes! Bah. But you're right about why we're all so quiet. I'm taking a break. Two new surnames for me are Lomax and Green. Louis Lomax and Ann Green were the "supposed" parents of Lucy Lomax, born 1850-1855, in Fauquier County. Is anyone researching descendants of these people? They might be connected to Raleigh Lomax/Lomacher. Ms. Marty Hiatt, CGRS "Document what you find, listen to what you are told, and especially, love and respect your work." I've listed an 1851 Upperville, VA letter written by Wm A. Stephenson, on ebay. You can see more details and a photo at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=689&item=4164541544 Hope it helps someone with their research. Probably not of much use in the genealogical sense, as he writes about Cabbage seeds and Japan Varnish. Interesting that he mentions a theater. Anyone know of an old theater in Upperville? My gr gr grandparents, George F. and Sarah V. Alexander, are buried in the cemetery in Upperville. Tom Bishop
