Anyone have any knowledge of William White of Rappahannock River Virginia, planter, and Martha Smith, of same place, single woman, marrie d 8-4-1683, at hom of Howell Powell, Talb. Co MD. I have been told it was not unusual in those days for those living in Northern Neck of Virginia to go across to Maryland to get married.
