    3. Hi! Thanks for the reply. The Constable line you mention in your email is one I have checked on. It's out there as a potential connection with my Constable line. I've learned a few things for sure. My impression is that the Constable name is not common. So, my inclination is to regard every Constable/Canstable in the MD/VA area as a potential cousin. There were numerous Constables in MD, especially Baltimore area and those MD counties bordering northern VA. Also, I have found Constables showing up in VA as early as 1584. There is a record of one Marmaduke Constable landing in VA in 1584 with Sir Walter Raleigh and spending a year in the colony. At this stage, I think I need to get deeper into the MD records to find connections to William and Mary Ann Constable from Fauquier. Robert Schneider > 1.
