September 27, 1852 Court? page 143 On the motion of Joseph P. Stigler, one of the heirs at law of James Stigler, decd. It? appears to the satisfaction of the Court and hereby certified by the County Court of Fauquier, having probate jurisdiction, that James Stigler died on or about September 29, 1837. The only heirs at law of James Stigler, who died intestate, are James A Stigler, Sophia E. Stigler and Joseph P. Stigler, all of whom are 21 years of age. April 1, 1859 Court? page 296 The court certifies that it was established to its satisfaction today by competent and credible evidence adduced before it in open court that Capt. James Wright of the Virginia Continental LIne died intestate about 1812, leaving his daughter Elizabeth James, wife of John James, as his only heir at law. Elizabeth James died intestate, leaving her children David James, now living in Fauquier Co, VA; Aldridge James, Mary Smith, wife of Thompson Smith; and Margaret Kelly, wife of John P. Kelly as her only heirs at law. Aldridge James, Mary Smith, and Margaret Kelly have all died intestate. The children and heirs at law of Aldridge James decd. are: Elizabeth B. Hord, wife of Dr. Ambrose Hord;? Edwin D. James; Sarah E. James; Susan K. James; Waverly James; Duncan James and David James. All are adults and live in Fauquier Co, VA. The heirs at law and children of Mary Smith decd. are: John Smith; J. Aldridge Smith; and Augustin J. Smith, all of whom are adults. The children and heirs at law of Margaret Kelly decd. at her death were: Granville J. Kelly; Jane Coleman, wife of Robert Coleman. Jane Coleman had died leaving children Granville Coleman and David Coleman. The third child of Margaret and John P. Kelly was Elizabeth Taliaferro, wife of Charles C. Taliaferro. She is also dead, leaving children John Taliaferro and Margaret Taliaferro. Granville Coleman, David Coleman, JOhn Taliaferro and Margaret Taliaferro are infants and Granville J. Kelly is thier legal guardian. July 1, 1859 Court?? page 358 The court order for April 1, 1858 touching the heirship of James Wright decd. is rescinded. Elizabeth James, daughter of Capt. James Wright, died testate and by her will...made her son Aldridge James her sole residuary lagatee after disposing of certain personal estate and land in Fauquier County. Aldridge James died testate and devised his whole estate to his wife Elizabeth James. Elizabeth James, Aldridge's widow, died intestate.
