Sandra, Great!! So, James McCormick was married to Susanna Unk. (some have claimed that she was a Duff) and after James died in 1759 Susanna remarried to a Jennings by 1760. Did she marry Benjamin Jennings Sr.? Does it follow that the Berryman Jennings and Susanna Duff are different people? Sort of confusing. Hoping someone can sort it out. The way I see it, James married Ann Unknown (not Susanna). After he died, she married a Jennings (possibly William), as you say, by 1760. Susanna Duff married Berryman, Sr. in 1779. I don't see how these two women could be the same person - she would have been listed as Susanna McCormick, unless she married a Duff in the meantime. Apparently Berryman, Sr. and Susanna had two sons, Berryman, Jr. and Benjamin. It is stated that Susanna is appointed guardian of Benjamin Jennings, orphan of Berryman, in 1785. I feel that if Susanna Duff was Ann McCormick, she would have been too old to bear children by the time she married Berryman - say she was born about 1720, she would have been 59 by the time she married Berryman Jennings. Hope I haven't confused the issue!
