Neither McNees or McNiece mentioned in the Alcock book. I wonder if the Alcock book "Fauquier Families" includes anything about the McNees/McNiece family, specifically John and brother William. Per one source, James McCormick had a daughter named Jane who married William McNees. The McNees were in Augusta Co., Va. in 1760/70's. Wm. and Jane md. in 1771 and moved on to Westmoreland Co., Pa. by 1774. John McNees went on to Hampshire Co., Va. and then on to Bourbon Co., Ky. by 1791.
