Maybe calling the telephone number below someone could be of help on the directions to the grave site June ------------------------------- This is a newspaper article appearing in the Rappahannock News, Washington, VA - Thursday, November 7, 1991 BURKE GRAVE HONORED The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will hold a special ceremony at the recently discovered grave site of Revolutionary War soldier William Burke. William Burke, who has many descendents living in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties, was born April 2, 1752, a son of Thomas and Jane Burke of St. Paul's Parrish, Stafford County. According to the marriage records of King George County, William Burke married Susanna Sweeney, on Feb. 1, 1778. Soon after this marriage William Burke joined the Sixth Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line, commanded by Col. John Green of Fauquier County. The descendents of William Burke are invited to attend this ceremony and grave marking which will take place at the family cemetery, which is located near Orlean, on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9.
