I descend from Mary John daughter of Thomas John, Jr whose will is in Loudoun co., Va. in 1769 that married Martha unknown. Mary John married my grandfather William Lewis. I saw on Rootsweb where she has a brother Daniel, I believe, that moved to Fauquier County. Also, in Loudoun County there is another Thomas John, SR that died in 1770. It isn't clear if SR is the father of JR. I have been told that Thomas John, SR might have come from Cecil Co., MD. I don't know if the John family was in PA before coming to Loudoun and Fauquier counties. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that might know where the John family originated from before coming to Virginia. Thank You, Marianne Dillow
