Goodness knows, there were certainly a lot of John Thompson's through the years, but all of mine were John E. or otherwise, and all born in Shenandoah or Warren County, Va. Dear Jane: Would you happen to have a Daniel Thompson in your line? I have Daniel Thompson as the father of Louisa Thompson who married John C. Grim(m). Daniel Thompson was married to Bettie Conner. These Thompson were from Fauquier County. If any of this rings a bell with you, please let me know as there is a possible connection to your Thompson's.
