I'm following the WRIGHT line discussions and any possible connection to Charles Jones m. Ann Childs who is my brick wall. The only WRIGHT connection that comes close was Elizabeth Wright m. John James. Charles Jones had niece Elizabeth Jane Johnson m. John W. James and from the Chancery Records, he appears to be son of Thomas James m. Hannah Nelson. Thomas James being BROTHER of John James m. Elizabeth Wright. I may possibly have a new lead for finding line of Charles Jones. June is my constant mentor and sounding board and if Charles Jones ever gets solved, it will be largely due to her kind and generous help along with so many others. So thanks to all on this list and here's what I think could be a fresh lead. I'm wide open to any feedback. Thanks, Amanda ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Charles Jones had another niece Tabitha A. Waugh he named in his will. (1846) 2. Tabitha A. Waugh on 1860 Fauquier Census and living one house down from her was Lewis Ellis. (Her will 1868) 3. Lewis Ellis had sister Lucy Ellis who was second wife of Francis T. Martin. They had daughter Eliza Ann Martin m. William A. McConchie. William A. McConchie a WITNESS on Will of Charles Jones. William A. McConchie was NEPHEW of Milly McConchie m. James Childs and parents of Ann Childs m. Charles Jones. 4. Lewis Ellis also had another sister Betty S. Ellis m. Nathaniel Gordon. I THINK they had a daughter Lucinda Gordon that married William Jones who had brother Churchill Jones. 5.Marriage Nathaniel Gordon -mr- Betty S. Ellis, daughter of Hezekiah Ellis Family Hezekiah Ellis, father of Lewis Ellis Record 94-4 6. Here is why I think BETTY ELLIS & NATHANIEL GORDON had DAUGHTER Lucinda Gordon who married William Jones/ Deed of Trust John S. Green &c to Jones Green - Spotsylvania Co. - 1848 Defendant John S. Green -mr- Lucinda R.C. Jones, widow of William Jones Here's same William Jones m. Lucinda Gordon and they had daughter named "Betty" making me think "Betty" was named for Lucinda's mother, Betty Ellis? Birth William Jones abt. 95 yrs. old at his death in Nov. 1845 Corn prices in Fredericksburg - 1845-1846 Death Churchill Jones died in 1822 Death William Jones died in Nov. 1845 Defendant William H. Hawkins Locality Spotsylvania Co. Marriage William Jones -mr- Lucy C. Gordon, daughter of Nathaniel Gordon 7. I believe the Lewis Ellis who lived one house from from Tabitha A. Waugh to be the Lewis Ellis who was son of Hezekiah Ellis. Lucy Ellis and Francis T. Martin had son Robert L. Martin and he is named as NEPHEW of LEWIS ELLIS in Fredericksburg Historical Record 154-4/...Family Robert L. Martin, nephew of Lewis Ellis Will Lewis Ellis - Fauquier Co. - 1864 / 1867 Cemetery Lewis Ellis wished to buried in the Cemetery in Fredericksburg Coffin Acct. due George T. Hart; Elizabeth W. Hart Family James Ellis, Ellen B. Ellis & Virginia T. Ellis, children of Robert Ellis 8. So I feel pretty good about this Lewis Ellis being the one that lived one house down from Tabitha A. Waugh. Now, looking at Ann P. Ellis, I find that she was associated with Stanton G. Embrey and he was WITNESS on Will of Tabitha A. Waugh. I don't know what the HERNDON connection could be yet. Deed Abner Haydon to James R. Benson - Spotsylvania Co. - 1842 Defendant James A.
