    3. Marianne, Check out DODD line for clues on that "CHRISTOPHER QUISENBERRY". Amanda ========================================= I have line of RICHARD SHIPPPEY m. ELLEN MOTT. Don't know his parents but strongly suspect that RICHARD SHIPPEY had brother JAMES SHIPPIE who sold land to JOHN DODD. ======================================================= You need to check out the DODD & QUISENBERRY lines. JOHN QUISENBURY had son WILLIAM QUISNBERRY m. Elizabeth MNU. WESTMORELAND COUNTY ORDER BOOK, 1716-1718; pg 78 Westmoreland County Court 27th of November 1717 - QUISENBURY's Will proved The Last Will and Testament of JOHN QUISENBURY, deced. was presented into Court by ANN QUISENBURY, his Executrix, who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oaths of FRANCIS QUISNEBURY and HUMPHREY POPE, two of the wittnesses thereto, is admitt to Record; And upon motion of ANNE and her performing what is usuall in such cases, Certificate is granted her for obtaining a Probate thereofin due form; And it is ordered JOHN MOTTERSHEAD, HUMPHREY POPE, CHRISTOPHER BUTLER and DANIEL FIELD or any three ofthem doe some time before the next Court value and appraise the Testator's Estate in money and make due report thereof being first sworn according to Law Mabye "Christopher Quisenberry" comes from around here? Can anyone ID this DANIEL FIELD? ======================================================= William Quisenberry had a daughter Anne Quisenberry m. JOHN DODD. QUISENBERRY, WILLIAM, Sr., 27 May 1762; 27 July 1762. Dau. Eleanor Bayn 1 shilling; grand sons Nicholas Quisenberry, John Mothershead and William Dodd 1 shilling each; son William land he lives on; daus. I think the JOHN DODD that had wife ANNE QUSINBERRY was below JOHN DODD Jr. with wife ANN and this JOHN DODD had a FATHER JOHN DODD. 1735-1743 King George County Deed Book 2 (Antient Press); pp. 25-27 Indenture made 15th day March 1735:6 between JOHN DODD JUNIOR of King George County and ANN his wife of one part and JOSEPH SETTLE of same county .. for sum ffourteen hundred pounds of Tobacco conveyed 50 acres .. tract which his ffather JOHN DODD bought of JOHN BROWN and acknowledged in our Court to his son John Dodd & Ann his wife by Deed of Gift first August 1729 .. bounded by Swamp; line of THOMAS WHITE; main Swamp .. John Dodd Isaac Settle (sic) At a court held 2nd April 1736 .. Deed of Feeofment recorded. ============================================================ It gets confusing but I think the JOHN DODD [SR.] who bought land of JOHN BROWN could have been the JOHN DODD who was SON of RICHARD DODD and MARY of MARYLAND. JOHN DODD sold land to JAMES SHIPPIE. 1721 JOHN DODD below stated to be son and heir of RICHARD DODD of MD. I think below shows that RICHARD DODD had son JOHN DODD and maybe the below record is showing THREE GENERATIONS? ie RICHARD DODD, his son JOHN DODD and then may JOHN DODD JR. who married ANNE QUISENBERRY? -I think GEORGE DENT of MD may have been married to ANN WARREN? Charles County Land Records, Liber H#2, Page 456 25 Aug 1721; Recorded at request of George Dent, Gent.: 22 Aug 1721; Indenture from John Dod of Hanover County, Virginia, son and heir of Richard Dod of Maryland, deed; to George Dent; for £15; a parcel of 40 acres; /sf John Dod (mark); wit. Rapll. Neal, James Cotrell; ack. by John Dod and Anne his wife Aug 1721 ================================================================== 1737 This might be same JOHN DODD JR. who had wife ANNE who was a QUISENBERRY? Or possibly JOHN DODD who was FATHER of JOHN DODD Jr.? JOHN DRAKE might connect to HENRY DRAKE? JOHN QUISENBURY? 2 September 1737 The deed between William Remy of King George County, Hanover Parish, and Barbary his wife and John Dodd mentions land called Wolvepitt Neck adjacent John Quisenbury and was witnessed by John Drake, Edmd: Barker, and John Quisenbury. (Deed Abstracts of King George County, Virginia (1735-1752), Ruth and Sam Sparacio, 1987 p. 15 ============================================================= 1737 I think below JOHN DODD could be the same JOHN DODD Jr. who had wife ANNE? 1735-1743 King George County Deed Book 2 (Antient Press); p142 Know all men .. I GEORGE FISHPOOL of Parish Hanover King George County Gent. .. am bound unto JOHN DODD .. in penal sum Fourty pounds current money of Virginia .. 2nd Septemr: 1737.
