Amanda, It is clear from deed records that Jeffrey and Margaret Johnson were the parents of Moses and Jeffrey Johnson. After Margaret married Thomas Colston, they exchanged their right to Jeffrey Johnson's estate for yearly installments of brandy and "cyder" for Margaret's life, due to Colston already having plenty of his own property. The land they would have received went back to Margaret and Jeffrey's two sons, Jeffrey Jr. and Moses, and the elder Jeffrey's estate was equally divided between the two boys.
