Amanda, I'm fairly confident now that Mary Dodd, d/o Nathaniel Sr. and Sarah, married Joseph Wheatley. There were no children from this union. He died about Dec 1795 and she remarried to Browner Dowdall 13 Dec 1796 and removed to Culpeper. Joseph left his entire estate, sans the widow's dower, to his brothers and sister: George, Mary Morehead, John, James, William, and Daniel. Meanwhile, Joseph's brothers, James and John died and the lawsuits began. Lots of Bills in Chancery (which weren't available when I started doing this). James Jr. was the administrator for both his father and uncle Joseph. I believe he was the one who was married to Mary Martin which I apparently confused with Mary Dodd. Mary (Dodd) Wheatley-Dowdall was deceased by 1815, probably in Culpeper. Her brother James Dodd was the husband of Leanna Wheatley, d/o John. Yes, he was party to the lawsuits. The six siblings to Joseph as mentioned above where children of George Wheatley Sr. Cheers...
