I guess I sent this to too many mailing lists at one time as it isn't coming through so I will try it again. Edwin Conway, JR, .....son of Edwin Conway, Sr. and Martha Eltonhead ..... said in his will dated 7 Sep 1698 in Richmond County, Virginia the following : " Item: I give and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Conway, all my estate real and personal not hereby given away before. All and every part and parcel that may or can be found in Virginia,.... ENGLAND,..... or elsewhere, and I doe hereby make and ordain my saide wife Elizabeth, full and sole Executrix of all hereby given ot her. Requesting her to pay all my debts." I am hoping someone might have a clue as to where in England Edwin Conway., JR.'s land might have been. Edwin Conway, SR came from Worcester, England. And many say Edward Conway and Dorothy Tracy is his parents but Edward's will does not name Edwin Conway, Sr that married Martha Eltonhead as a son as many believe. However, many Conway researchers on this Conway line believe that Edwin Conway, Sr does come from this Conway family in England but from another male member other than Edward Conway that married Dorothy Tracy. Some research is now being done in England on this branch of Conway's. This is why I have been so intent in trying to find the estate of Edwin Conway, SR in 1659-1661 hoping it might show a land description or associations to prove this one way or the other. Land in England would be very important from these Virginia records if they are available. Marianne Dillow Illinois.
