As I have posted before Edwin Conway, Sr. and Martha Eltonhead are my 9th great grandparents. I have come across some Maryland records that I am hoping someone has knowledge of and can add to what I am posting.  It appears they were in Maryland with William Eltonhead in Maryland as these records suggest. Source: Browne, William Hand, Archives of Maryland, Vol. 10, 1837: Date: 1649 p. 368:  " This Bill bindeth me Geoffery Gant my heires Exec" Adm" or Assignes to pay or cause to be paid unto Mr. William Eltonhead his heires Exec or Assignes the just some of 500' Liber A good merchantable Tob: and Caske And for the true performance hereof I doe binde over all my personall estate and Cropp to bee paid at or uppon the tenth day of October next ensueing the date hereof As witness my hand the fift of ffebruary 1649. The marke of Jeffery Gan' Witnes the marke of Jo: Tragare. Item for 1 Hoe 30, Item 2 shutes of powder & shott to Gant, Item more il of powder, Item 4' of shott, Item one paire of Shoes 20, Item discompted with Martin Kirke for you 120, Item discompted with H. Potter for 100, Witness: MARTHA CONOWAY. This marke of Jeffry Gant. " Date: 1650 p. 72 .. Browne, William Hand, Archives of Maryland, Vol 10, 1837: Court and Testimony Business 1649-1650. "William Eltonhead gent Attorney of M' EDWYN CONOWAY plte Marty Kirke defend't. The plts being for three hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco p Accompt And the defend't confessing the debt It is ordered that hee the said defend't shall pay vnto the said MR CONNOWAY or to MR ELTONHEAD for his vse Three hundred and nynety pounds of Tobacco and Caske " Date: 1654 p. 406: Court and Testimony Business, 1654  " It is ordered that the ESTATE of THOMAS CONNERY Shall be Liable to pay unto MR. WM  ELTONHEAD his heires Executors Administrators or assigns the Sume of three hundred and four pounds of Tobacco and Caske due by Specialty produced in Court. Marianne Dillow
