I am attempting to find the estate papers of Edwin Conway, Sr that married Martha Eltonhead, my 9th great grandparents.  I am working with Lancaster Co., Va researchers at the present time. This is for all descendants that may not have this information. It looks like Edwin Conway (CONNOWAY, CONNAWAY) died between Jan and March 1660/61 according to these 2 records : Edwin Conway, Sr was still living according to this date:.... Source:  Va Col. Abstracts, Vol 10: Edwin CONNOWAY, gent., 2500 acres adj. land of John Meredith, etc Dated James Citty last of October 1657" Signed : Samuel Matthews, W. Clayborne, sec....  Edwin Connoway of Lanc gent, sells to Sam Persax of London,  marryner, the above land, excepting 200 acres sold to Will Gordon. Dated: Jan 1660/61 Signed: Edwin Connoway Wi: John Stuart, Edward Dale Rec: 1st Feb 1660/61 And ................................................................................................................ This is from Lancaster County Minute records.. not Hayden in the Glassell book who has the death record wrong....  (Source:  Va Col.
