To make the census transcription project at http://files.usgwarchives.org/va/fauquier/census/1850/ even more useful, I have converted it into a GEDCOM file, which can be imported into any genealogy software (open a new folder!) and read by a variety of utilities. This free resource is a finding aid for the transcription work. The note for each person contains the URL of the exact file where he or she is listed.
