The librarian is referring to a USB port that is on your computer.  My laptop has 3.  You would take a memory stick, which is pretty much available everywhere you shop, and depending on how much memory you want it to have they are pretty inexpensive.  You'd take your memory stick with you to the library and put it into the USB port on their computer and then save the picture you want from the microfilm onto your memory stick and then take it back home put it into your USB port and you could open the picture you saved at the library on it.  I use my USB ports for memory sticks, my mouse, my husband charges his iPod and I also use it to download my pictures from my camera on it.    Hope this helps.  Sandra Gibby0111@att.net
