For those who may find this information of help: In the Faquier County chancery case of Penquite vs. McArtor, settled in 1861, there is record of a sale of enslaved people on the 29th of January 1855 at Middleburg: George, sold to Thomas Middleton Harriet & her two children James & Ben sold to Williamson Skinner Alfred, Mary, and Andrew sold to Robert C. McArtor Two of these enslaved people (which ones are unspecified) were willed by William Penquite to his wife Kezia in 1839 and on her death were to be sold and the proceeds divided by her heirs. The others are the "increase" of the original two, according to the documents in the case. Document images are available on the Library of Virginia website's Chancery Cases. Names above can be found on image 36 (of 53) images in Penquite v. McArtor 1861-019. Hope this helps someone in their research, Susan B.
