    3. I can't speak to the veracity of the Charles & Ann Bird family - while I note them they are a branch I have not delved into much. I have a specific interest in a couple of Landon Jr.'s children who have never been traced much so I have concentrated my efforts there. However the rest of your list is basically as I have it give a year or two on a birthdate. The 1804 court suit what lists Robert Carter on behalf of the heirs is long - but it does give some family relationships. It also has some basic maps. Charles Landon Carter (many misread his middle initial as he signed it so you find him listed many times as C.K.) complicated things later when his health (mental I believe) failed him after his wife's death and his portion of the estate of Landon Jr. also became a legal mess involving some of these same people. Charles Landon's land was known as Ridgeville - and I have yet to find a good map showing that. Even more of the disputed area ended up with Landon Jr.'s daughter Judith who married Dr. Isaac Henry and later gained infamy as the first female civilian casualty of the Civil War during the first battle of Manassas (or Bull Run). By then the estate of this branch of the Carter family was being subdivided into oblivion.
