Have you looked at Will Books 19 through 21? These relate to the time period you mention. Also, in subsequent census records, is his wife listed as a widow? --- On Mon, 2/8/10, Tom Kendall <tkendalljr@ec.rr.com> wrote: From: Tom Kendall <tkendalljr@ec.rr.com> Subject: [VAFAUQUI] Seeking Counsel To: vafauqui@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, February 8, 2010, 8:40 AM Listers: I am trying to find proof of a death. I suspect that a Fauquier relative may have died betwen 1845 and 1850; But I can't prove it. He stopped paying taxes after 1845; And he is missing in the 1850 and subsequent censuses ( His wife and family are accounted for). Also, he is not listed in the Fauquier County Court Orders and Minutes. He was not a church attender; And there is no record of who is buried in the family burial plot. He was too old to have been in the Mexican War. Do you have any other suggestions on where I might look?
