List, I've made contact with a nice lady out in CA who is descended from Lavinia Duncan who was daughter of Robert Duncan and Ann Gallop. I think she may have some information that will help those us researching the lines mentioned in below Will of Robert Duncan. She said there was a WILLIAM JONES around her lines. She is checking. That would be of great interest...GRIN...another WILLIAM JONES to chase down. But her lines were around early LOTT HACKLEY and HENRY ALLEN who was married to CATHERINE McCONCHIE, d/o ALEXANDER McCONCHIE. CATHERINE [McCONCHIE] ALLEN was AUNT of ANN CHILDS that married CHARLES JONES who the mystery. So I'm sending what she has written for us to ponder. They in turn had Lavina, who married John Lightfoot. Lavina and John's son Philip, married Susannah Smith. Philip and Susannah's duaghter Nancy Lightfoot, married William Jones. Nancy and William's son John, married Mary Ann Zeek. Mary and John's daughter Jociephine married Charles Tutorow. Charles and Jociephine's son Virgil, married Violet Chadwick. Their daughter, is my mother. Her name is Mary Tutorow - Fontenot. It is my understanding that Japasaw is said to be the brother of Wahunsenacawh - Pocahontas' father, which would make Japasaw's father the Great Powhatan/Nemattanon/Don Luis de Velasco. Nemattanon was captured as a boy by the Spaniards, returning to his tribe as a man. I look forward to hearing back from you. He was son of PHILIP LIGHTFOOT and ALICE CORBIN. I need to confirm this. But if her LIGHTFOOT line makes connections to below, then this is going to be very helpful. BROWN, 2nd JAMES STIGLER. So if there was a JONES line around LAVINIA DUNCAN and hubby LIGHTFOOT, that might be a clue for the line of CHARLES JONES? Just a thought... Some researchers show the following for John - John DUNCAN was born ABT 1727, and died AFT 07 JUN 1788. He married Elizabeth HOLTZCLAW. He married Wilkie MCCLANAHAN 1760. She died 1793. I don't know if this is true.. [Confirmation of this could be key piece in possibly me eventually proving that Alexander McConchie married an Ann Hudson.] And for James Jett some researchers are showing James father as Peter JETT b: 1710 and his mother as Ann LNU - and I don't know if this is true.
