    1. Re: [VAFAUQUI] land records, maps- PS
    2. Thanks June. I found one book that had different sections in it on Lincoln, Jefferson and Fayette in 1780 but my Moses Cushenberry grandfather that I believe is a Virginia Quisenberry was not in the 1780 records with other people he was associated with. The first record I have of him is 1783 where he was signing a petition for Virginia to form another state which became Kentucky. He was associated with people who were with the Traveling Church from Spotsylvania and Orange counties in Va. He was in Bourbon and Mason counties in Ky but they were formed from Fayette. One of his sons named John was a brother-in-law to Simon Kenton as they married Dowden sisters. If I can't find a record before 1783 I may have to find a male Cushenberry from our line that descends from Moses to do DNA testing as there are Quisenberry men who have tested their DNA and we could see if there is a match. I have proven four lines of my parents by DNA testing when there was no more records to be found on my family and the others could prove their lines by records. DNA testing is a great thing for brick walls if a DNA company has a project going on that surname. We have tested our DNA at Family Tree DNA in Houston.
