    3. Need to locate Marriage Record for David Coffman & Mary Anne Lovell ca 1774-1775. A Marriage Bond would also suffice. Don't know if the County Records even existed, so a Church Record might be only source. Believe the Groom was Mennonite, but Bride was likely Presbyterian or Anglican. I have too much to list all of it on this E Mail Below info taken from Lure & Lore of Limestone Co AL:. David Harmon Coffman was born abt 1795 in Landisville, Hempfield Twp., Lancaster Co PA [Also called Chester Co PA]. He moved from PA to Jefferson Co TN and then to Limestone Co AL where he died. His WILL is probated there on March 31, 1835. His heirs were listed as; Lovel, Markham M., David, Robert, Andrew, heirs of his deceased son William, Mary Ann [Meals], Rebecca [Walker], Nancy [Legg], Sarah [Meals], and heirs of daughter, Elizabeth Legg. David's wife was Mary Ann Elizabeth Lovell, b ca 1750 Westmoreland Co VA, died bef. 31 March, 1835, Limestone Co AL. ********************************** Giles Co TN , Legg/Coffman Cemetery Lovell Coffman, b 7 May, 1775, died 25 Feb 1842. Sarah Green Coffman born 4 June 1785, died 10 March, 1853. Sarah Coffman b 14 June 1770, died 30 March, 1873, age 108 years, 9 months, 26 days. M. T. Nich---- b 17 September ---- [stone broken] Prob Nicholas; Ginny K. Samuel Smith b 16 May, 1785, died 8 Oct 1810 ? The whole hill top has graves on it; there are 15-20 graves marked with fieldstones with no inscriptions. Mary graves not now marked. Location Hwy, 11, At Minor Hill, take Salem Road. Turn left before crossing Alabama line. Cemetery on right from house of Joe [formerly Townsend place of Shoal Creek]. Cemetery has been badly abused in time with cattle roaming freely in it. It is believed some of the large slab markers that covered the graves have been removed and used for patios. [My white family lived at Minor Hill and many are buried at Minor Hill Cem. near this cemetery. Ginny K.] ************* Tombstone Inscriptions of Limestone Co AL, Compiled by Mrs. Linda H. Note listed for this cemetery; It is believed that Loviel Coffman parents are buried here also.
