Renee, June and Denise, To simpfly this for the list and those who are not involved with these lines, I'm going to label my posts McConchie/ Emmons/ Dent/ Knox/ Harrison hunt. Then everybody will know and can just delete. My aim here is to possibly prove that Alexander McConchie in Fauquier was the son of a Robert Maconchie in CC MD and that Robert was highly likely the brother of Rev. William McConchie m. Mary Hanson and his brother John McConchie whose widow Ann remarried last Robert Hanson who was brother of Mary Hanson. Expanding more on ROSE TOWNSEND [DADE] KNOX's mother and ROSE's uncles, Joseph Hanson Harrison and Col. Richard Harrison. Thanks, Amanda ========================================= ALEXANDER McCONCHIE and wife ANN had ONLY SON ROBERT. ROBERT married Mary Ann King and they had three sons: Alexander Robert King William A. Based on the naming patterns of the day and especially the Scotch/Irish etc., if ROBERT was ONLY SON, he surely would have been named after Alexander's father. We know that Alexander McConchie had wife ANN and there are wills for both. -Alexander McConchie and Ann named their ONLY SON "ROBERT" which would have been for Alexander's father. Fauquier Co. DEED BOOK 13, page 330 said... "We the said Alexander Mcconchie and Ann his wife, for ouselves our heirs or assigns, the premises with the appretenacnes to the said ROBERT McCONCHIE his heirs and assigns, against us Alexander McConchie and Ann his wife our heirs, Executor Administrators or assigns; shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents that our SON and ONLY SON ROBERT McCONCHIE his heirs ..." -Alexander McConchie had definite associations with GEORGE DENT and ROBERT KNOX. Both of them had associations with the HARRISON line in CC MD. -Rose Townsend Dade married Robert Knox and her UNCLES were Joseph Hanson Harrison and Col. Richard Harrison GEORGE DENT married widow ROSE of ROBERT KNOX. GEORGE DENT married 2nd the widow ELIZABETH of JOHN KNOX. [LAND DEEDS previously posted to show this second wife Elizabeth of George Dent.] GEORGE DENT's 2nd wife Elizabeth nee Harrison was the daughter of COL. RICHARD HARRISON and 2nd wife Elizabeth [Dent] Penn widow of William Penn. [Elizabeth Dent was daughter of George Dent and Anne Herbert of CC MD. The parents of George Dent were William Dent and Ann Warren.] Rose's mother Elizabeth Harrison m. 1st Robert Dade, 2nd Robert Mastin.
