    3. Amanda, Do you have descriptions of this land and the transfers from Knox, Dent, McConchie, Emmons, Ludwell? Thank you...Renee ----- Original Message ----- From: Amanda E. Douglass To: fauquier Board Sent: Saturday, June 12, 2010 5:22 PM Subject: [VAFAUQUI] McCONCHIE/ EMMONS/ DENT/ KNOX PHILIP LUDWELL Asking about a PHILIP LUDWELL mention... JOHN KNOX, GEORGE DENT, ALEXANDER McCONCHIE and JAMES EMMONS had descriptions of this land and one mention about this land talked about a part of the old tract by a PHILIP LUDWELL. So it looks like the land that JAMES EMMONS bought and then ALEXANDER McCONCHIE ended up with went back to an early PHILIP LUDWELL. Anybody have any ideas about who Philip Ludwell was? Person of interest could be Philip Ludwell b. 29 Dec. 1716 in Carter's Creek, Surry, Viriginia married Frances Grymes on 29 July 1737 in Surry Co. VA. Frances Grymes b. 19 Nov. 1717 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., Va Frances Grymes was d/o of Charles Grymes m. Frances Jennings. I think Frances Jennings was son of Edmund Jennings and Margaret Barham? I wonder if below PRONE BENSON was possibly PRUE BENSON? Robert Stringfellow m. Catherine Stigler who was AUNT of James Stigler m. Mildred [Reeds] Brown. Robert Stringfellow had a daughter who married a Robert Benson. I think his father was a William "PRUE" Benson? Does any of the below make connections?
