Yes, it is the same Samuel Stigler born 1733 in Hanover, King George, Virginia, United States he died: 1800 Nelson, Kentucky, United States Apparently 1765 is the date Samuel and Sarah moved to Culpepper Co., Virginia, moving from the Parish of Burnswick in King George Co. There were two Virginia Public Service claims dated June 18,1781 and October 14, 1781. Certificates for beef furnished for public use by Samuel Stigler. Culpepper County Deed Book M pages 221-223 dated August 16,1784, Samuel and wife Ann(Sarah Ann) sell for 300 pounds current money of Virginia 400 acres of land to John Garnett of same county. We know that Samuels first wife was named Sarah but find his wife's name listed as Ann in this document, there is no doubt but that this is the mother of his children. She apparently died before 1787 as Samuel moved to Kentucky. Samuel married Sarah Pound, a widow April 11, 1787 and they had no children. Nelson County deed book no. 3, page 107- Samuel selling tract of land where he now lives dated 1793 to James Brown, containing 125 acres. In 1793, Samuel and Sarah sell to Beal Dorsey for 40 pounds current money of the State of Caintucky, 112 1/2 acres of land situated on Simmons Creek, part of a tract of land Samuel received from Patrick McGee, the original land patent in the name of John E.
