    1. [VAFAUQUI] John Edmonds (1737-1798) father of William Edmonds (1763- ? )
    2. I would like to re-post about the Fauquier Edmonds   I am looking for the family of William Edmonds son of John Edmonds (1737-1798).  William's brothers included Elias, George Washington, and John Edmonds along with sisters Anne (Nancy), Catherine, Frances, Margaret (Peggy) and Sophia.  The family lived near Upperville in Northern Fauquier.   William was born 1763 and his wife was Sally (LNU).  He had verified sons John, Thomas and daughters Jane (m. Wesley Brown) and Elizabeth (m. Francis Rollow).  1810 Fauquier census suggests there are four more children.   I am trying to link two Edmonds strays to William and Sally.  Specifically, a son William (Billy) and a daughter Octavia.  I have pretty good indirect evidence but need something more specific to make the positive connection.   William inherited part of John's estate in Northern Fauquier County and subsequently sold the farm around 1817.  I lose the family at that time as far as records go until 1839 when I pick Billy and Octavia up in both records and family correspondence.  The correspondence ties them to the family but is vague as to the exact relationship.   There seem to be few active Fauquier Edmonds researchers.  The family has a lot of well documented information (and some not so well documented) out there.  This has allowed me to exclude a lot of possibilities but because John's son William apparently left Fauquier after he sold the farm he is rarely mentioned.  William's male children are not documented at all (except by me) as far as I can tell.   I am hoping someone researching other associtated lines maybe has run across a stray Edmonds specifically Thomas, John, William (Billy) or Octavia.    Billy and a cousin James Henry Edmonds travel to Central MO (after a stop in Kanawha County WVA) with Mark Chilton about 1840.  Billy marries and lives out his life there, James Henry after a lot of trials an tribulations returns to Fauquier some years later.    Any clues would be greatly appreciated to help me clear this last wall (for now).
