For the most part, I have no real connection to any of these families. There are a couple of intermarriages to most of the lines, I'm sure, as my ancestry and relations in Fauquier go back to the 1600s. But, I have no real claim to any of the families I'm posting, and I'm sorry I can't really answer further inquiries on them, as I haven't researched them myself. In case anyone is interested, my surnames follow this email. I wish I could help more with the family data I'm passing along, but, like i said, I haven't personally researched any of these families, with the exception of the Blackwells. Happy Hunting everyone! Although the Fauquier Heritage Society is somewhat obscure, it really is a "must see" if anyone comes to this area. In addition to various historical materials, it also has the complete notes of several genealogists, including Trip Russell. I believe Trip knew or was related to almost everyone in the county, and his research notes are voluminous. I walked away with a three-inch binder of photocopied material on one of my obscure families. The only thing better than getting a look at his notes would be getting a look at John Gott's notes! Exactly -- I thought long and hard on how to convert the graphical charts to simple text, even starting a gedcom. But, I just settled on a format I've seen used in a few books. The very first generation is (1). That person's children are all (2). From there, the (3)s are children of the very previous (2). Etc. etc. Hope this helps. Thanks to Rodney, too, for chiming in with even more goodies. One of the driving purposes of my postings was to get some information flowing. Unfortunately, I haven't done most of the alphabet, so please don't put any coal in my stocking if your surnames are in the last half of the alphabet. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
