Alexander and his wife are proving to be a mystery as to where they are buried. Alexander was a Confederate veteran who appears on the 1880 census in Dranesville. He does not appear on the 1900 or later census, so he dies sometime between 1880 and 1900. His wife appears on the 1900 census living with her daughter and her husband in Dranesville. Deniza no longer appears in the census after 1900. She files for a pension with Virginia in 1901. So I'm assuming she dies prior to 1910. Both were born in Fairfax County, so while its an assumption, they're probably buried in Dranesville or at the very least in Fairfax County. Another gentleman emailed me offline saying they are not listed in the master index of Fairfax cemeteries. May have been listed as Colter, but in census and other records the name is spelled correctly. Thanks again for the info. If anyone has other suggestions on where I can look, I'd appreciate the advise. Jonathan Coulter
