They [Eliz. and Stephen Lewis] are said to have had five children [according to one source]: Eliz.(1747-) m.Patterson; Thomas(1749-)m.Elizabeth Payne 1773; Jane (1752-)m. William Nielson of Scotland; Sally m. Dr. Shrope, amd Elizabeth m. Smith. I am descended from Thomas Lewis that m. Eliz. Payne. Need more information on Elizabeth Offutt, birth and death dates and places -marriage dates and places. Need more information on Stephen Lewis of Fairfax Co.,VA - birth (VA?) and death dates and places. And where they were both buried. Would be extremely interested in Stephen's relationship to John Lewis the pioneer. Also the parentage of Stephen Lewis and Elizabeth Offutt. I have one source saying that Eliz. Offutt "b.13 JAN 1727/28 in Prince George's County, MD" "Death: 1770 in Loudon Co.,VA" "Father: Samuel Owen Offutt, b. 18 Oct 1710 in Berkeley Co., VA" "Mother: Elizabeth Hite, b. 13JAN 1714/15""Marriage 1 :William Douglas, b. 20MAR 1731/32 in Ayr Scotland. m. 12 JUN 1761" No info on Stephen Lewis??? Does anyone have anything on him? He appears on lists of the church George Washington attended - If it is the same Stephen Lewis. Apparently, he died young. But, how?? in battle??
