VA This data appears to match the Woodlawn Baptist Church Cemetery records for Horton, William H.H.       1893 Apr 14 - 1978 Oct 16 \ shared headstone Horton, Annie L. Simms     1895 Aug 11 - 1965 Sep 10 / his wife Taking this data another step: 1920 Fairfax Census lists a Samuel HORTON b NY Horton, Samuel  <A HREF=""> </A> (have a feeling this is Williams father (clue Birth place NY!)  Age:    52    Year: 1920    Birthplace:    New York    Roll: T625_1886    Race:    White    Page: 20B    State:    Virginia    ED: 36   County:    Fairfax    Image: 441   Township:    Mount Vemon    Samuel HORTON age 52? born NY father b. NY mother NY Occupation Night Watchman Mount Vernon Wife: Adeline age 56? VA father NY? mother Virginia? children: Ursula b VA age 14 or 16 Edward b. Va age 12 This matches up with Cemetery information in Woodlawn Baptist Church - appear to be all in same plot next to above listed William HORTON Samuel D Horton husband b. 14 Jul 1865 d 10 Sept 1930 Adeline M Stout Horton wife b. 10 Nov 1867 d 30 Aug 1956 Ursula A Behanna  2 Feb 1905  c. 5 Sept 1985 To conclude, I would say that Samuel HORTON and Adeline are parents of William HORTON.

It looks that way! I had just seen NJ on the census with WIlliam S family. He may just not have known where his father was really born~~who knows! But this is definetly a good start!!!!
