He was born somewhere in PA around 1818. He was married in Marion, Marion Co, OH to Hannah Piatt and possibly before that to a Rebecca Piatt. Hannah was my great great grandmother. They had several children, one being my great grandfather, Samuel Jasper Thomas. In 1880 William and his 10 year old son, Calvin, were living with Sam's family in Smith County, Kansas. Later they all went back to Illinois and then Sam's family came back to Hodgeman Co, Barton Co and Stafford Co's Kansas. I am looking for William's parents. His father was born in PA and his mother was born in NC. My grandfather told me that the family originally came from Wales.
