Shirley, Thank you so much! I've been to the cemetary and seen my grandparents' (Edwin & Laura Jewell) and gr. grandparents' (Elijah and Margaret Jewell), but since you said there were many unmarked graves, I wonder if any other relatives are there. If you could check any of the following names whenever you have a chance, I would appreciate it. They are all Jewells: James G, Walter Lee, Dulaney Hunton, and John Thomas. Also, I have recently learned that Edwin & Laura had several children who died young: Laura May Jewell, b. and d. 26 April 1899 Audrey E. Jewell, b. 30 Apr. 1901, d. 29 June 1910; Cora Beatrice Jewell, b. 21 March 1903 (no death date, but know she didn't live to adulthood) Goldie Jewell, b. 14 Jan 1917, d. 30 July 1919. The family had moved to Maryland before Goldie was born, but since Edwin and Laura were buried at Arnon, they may have buried Goldie there too. One of my cousins and her family recently went to Arnon and tidied up around the marked graves. They also found another rather large marker for Jewells that I don't remember being there when I was there about 4 or 5 years ago. Thank you again.
