    1. Re: Indenture, 1805, Between William Lyles and Michael Kellar, wife Katherine and son [Jos.] George
    2. The George Williams' lot referred to in this deed belonged to my 4gr-grandfather. His father, also George Williams, had leased it from Thomas Ludwell Lee betwen 1765 and 1770. Lyles bought all of T. L. Lee's land in the vicinity from Lee's heirs in 1785. In 1790, Lyles brought suit against George Williams, the result of which was a determination that the boundaries of the Williams lot were correct. George Williams the son inherited the lot (it was a "three- lives" lease, in the name of the father, mother and eldest son), and subsequently bought it and additional land from Lyles. He also sold land in Fauquier Co. to Henry Gunnell in 1795, bought land near his original lot from the heirs of Henry Gunnell in 1843, and his son Ira married Ann Gunnell. Ira was the brother of Augustine Bowyer Williams, my 3gr-grandfather. Are these the Williams and Gunnell lines you cite in your surname list? If so, we may be cousins, and should share information. Charles Williams
