Second, the John Thomson to you email of the Joseph Foster 1874 chart shows John Fairfax who married Catherine Norris was a child of Thomas Fairfax and Anna Conyers, while others show John as the possible descendant of Henry Fairfax, son of Thomas and Ellen Aske? I estimate that about 1/3 to 1/2 of all the lines shown in the fan chart of my mothers family inherited by me from my aunt end in a "think" not "know" way. So far, I have succeeded in showing with some degree of knowledge the descendants of Ann Warder (daughter of William Warder and Mary Fairfax?) and Matthew Milstead, with the help of a number of Milstead people. I also was able to follow the ancestors of Sally Fendall Bell who married Henry Milstead to Roger Mallory. I was proud of that because that aunt and my mother looked all their lifes for Sally's ancestors without success. But there are so many for which we know little, such as the Fairfax questions which I raised. Usually, somewhere, the information is there, so I bug everyone in sight, like you, to try to find it.
