I'm getting confused about this, too. I thought it was a genealogy list as well as maybe general discussion about the county. That's what most of the lists at RootsWeb are. There are some YahooGroups lists for just historical information about places. I belong to one about Montana, but not for genealogy. I am involved in an old West roleplay/collaborative game and use the information for the time period. Besides being interested in Virginia in general, I also use this list for a Civil War roleplay game, but am certainly not offended by discussions of family names no matter whose they are.
