Helen, I am very much interested in your posting since King and Simpson were both mentioned in that first bit about the will. My Laurence King was taxed in Fairfax in 1787 but the tax was paid by an Aaron Simpson. Laurence married a Jane, who I think may be the daughter of Simpson since he paid the tax. That doesn't necessarily follow, I know, since Laurence may have worked for AAron Simpson. J.
