I'm doing my stepfather's genealogy, he turns 70 this year. He's very proud of his father, Edwin Harrison, Sr, who was a professor at Cornell for many years. Robert and Mary Ellen are Edwins parents. I know that Robert's father and mother are JS and Catherine Harrison, and Mary Ellen's are David (Daniel) and Harriet Detwiler, but I haven't been able to go further. I'm hoping the obits will open it up for me. There is still some members of the family in VA, but I'm not sure if they are still in the Herndon area or not. My stepfather says one person sends him a Xmas card, but so far he hasn't come up with the name or address. Of course, this genealogy is a surprise for him, so I can't look to eager!
