Hi everyone, I am compiling data on the name TUNNELL and it is written THREE ways.This will include ALL of the U.S.A.I hope to publish my book by late 2003. In @1750 "Lady"Anne(Howard)and Reverand Wm.Tunnel (b. in France in 1702 )moved to nr.Herndon,Fairfax Co.Va.from nr.Fredericksburg,Spotslvania Co.Va.They came to Va.via Yorkshire,England in @1731 or as late as 1735. They had FOUR known sons who were ministers. Wm./Stephen Sr/Robert and John.(Unm.) well known as a Circuit rider all over Va. with Francis Asbury. Robert j cannot connect him to TWO groups of Tunnell's who settled in N.C. So at this point in time I am only compiling on TWO sons Wm.and Stephen Sr. and I have "found"an Elizabeth Tunnell([email protected] 1744 to 1756)who was born in Fairfax Co.Va.and she md.George Balll Sr.(b.1752 in Fairfax Co.Va.)who was the son of Nancy(Brashears)and Moses Ball Sr. They settled nr.New Garden,Va.in 1798.It is now called Honaker,Va. Am compiling on Elizabeth and Geo.Ball Sr. The reason I am writing to Fairfax Co.Va. is that I am looking for approximately 8 more children of Anne and Wm.It is logical that they had 12 to 13 children.
