He is now doing similar tests to see whether any males are descendants from the Danish Vikings. As you know it has been recorded that the Fairfaxes descended from a Danish Viking. I wrote to the professor and he is very interested and has offered to do DNA tests on any Fairfaxes willing to assist. I am presently gathering names and addresses of volunteers. Later each will receive a small pack and all that will be necessary is to take a swab from inside the mouth with a cotton bud (so it won't hurt!!!) and post it to the professor.
