No, I had not seen this, and thank you very much for it. I have seen some of the information in separate places -- the list of founding members of Chopowamsic Church, and excerpts of the Fristoe genealogy that is here. I explored these records on the possibility that the George Williams listed here [who is the son of George Williams (The Founder) who left a will in Stafford County in 1750, and owned an iron mine and foundry jointly with George Washington's father Augustine] might be the same person as my George Williams ancestor of Fairfax County (?-1794). I thought there was a possibility because Jeremiah Moore -- listed in these records -- was my George Williams' close friend and executor. Turns out not to be the case -- this George's death record in Stafford County in 1791, marriage to Mary Barker Fristoe and their offspring don't match my guy. Just one of many George Williamses who turned out to be a dead end. pifox wrote: >have you seen this site yet? >http://www.rootsweb.com/~vastaffo/cemeteries/chopawamsicbapchurch.htm >must be a record somewhere in archives in PW COUNTY > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Charles Williams > To: VAFAIRFA-L@rootsweb.com > Sent: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 12:57 AM > Subject: Re: [VAFairfax] Headstone placed in Quantico > > > Thank you.
