In my previous post - same subject - there was an error - I am therefore posting this correction! ************************************************ I imagine that if there was anything left after the Civil War of the farm for daughters Margaret and Martha to inherit that they may have sold it. Margaret (Ferguson) Cooper**** died in 1887 and is buried in Dutchess County, NY along with her husband, Cornelius and mother. However, I can find no further information on her sister Martha (Ferguson) Ladue and her husband Edward here in Dutchess so it is possible that after the war Martha reclaimed the farm in Virginia and died there????? [****In my previous post I incorrectly named her as Margaret (Ferguson) LaDue - Yes Margaret's mother was a Cooper and her daughter, Margaret, married a Cooper] ************************************************ Ginny Ginny's Genealogy Page Dutchess County, NY Tombstone Inscriptions & MORE! http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Acres/2843 Dedicated to Keeping Genealogy FREE on the WWW!
