Co. and Ann, his wife, to Charles Green**.... land of Long Branch of Accotink, tract purchased from Thomas Owsley. from Lyn various sources Charles Green was the Minister of Truro Parish. In Green's will, he mentions a gift to the "youngest" child of John and Mary Osborn King, the parents of Penelope King who m. our James Whaley as his 2nd wife. 15 Feb 1743 FAIRFAX DEEDS,Book B p. 362 - Charles Green, clerk and MD, Truro Parish, sold to Ralph Green, merchant late of Lond, now of Truro Parish, Fairfax Co, 102 acres on both sides of Accotink....sold by Owsley to James Whaley and by Whaley to Charles Green. ________ As an aside, Rev. Charles GREEN and Margaret his wife later sold the 100 acres for £25 to Bryan FAIRFAX, except for a small meadow to remain in possession of GREEN during his residence on Glebe Land. (Fx. Deeds E:l. 8 June 1761). Bryan FAIRFAX leased to Margaret GREEN, widow of Charles GREEN, for her lifetime, 197 acres between Accotink and Long Branch where Bryan FAIRFAX lately dwelt, purchased from Charles GREEN in 1761 and known as Green Hill. The details of the lease were handled by Daniel McCARTY and the token rent was 1 peppercorn. (Fx. Deeds G:2~. 14 September 1766, and the detailed land records book Beginning at a White Oak by Beth Mitchell) Per the following, a John Washington is deceased by 1748, writing of this will, and the widow of John Washington signs as witness the deed.
