Does anyone on the list have a copy of either book "Index of Virginia Estate Records, 1800-1865., Volume 1" or "Alexandria, Virginia Wills, Administrations and Guardianships, 1786-1800" by Wesley E. Pippenger and would be willing to do a quick lookup for me? Actually any books or advice covering administrations between late 1799-1800 would be welcome. I recently discovered that in the book "English Estate of American Settlers: 1800-1858" by Peter Wilson Coldham it lists... "DENSLEY, Edith, formerly of St. James, Westminster, late of Alexandria, Virginia. Administration to Joseph Hume, attorney for husband John BOGUE (sic). (Mar. 1800)." (note - I have contacted National Archives in the UK and was told they do not have a will listed - the item appears to be an administration record which they would have to locate and offered me several options). I have documented that Edith DENSLEY married John BOGUE 1789 at St. Martin in the Fields, England; they immigrated to Virginia in 1795; and Edith/Judith Densely/Bogue died Sept. 3, 1799 in Alexandria. I am assuming that if administration records were filed in England that documentation would also have existed in Virginia where her husband lived - eventually remarrying and moving to Loudoun Co. VA. Thank you for any help or direction you are able to offer, Susan McIntyre
