Thompson had a son named George. Where did you find this information? That would explain why John and Mary (or John & Sythia) named a son George. That was a very popular name in the Somers family, being the name of my gr gr grandfather, the son of Arden Somers. I wish I could find the name of of the wife of George Somers, the son of "Old John" who died in his 104th year (Fairfax Co., VA.). Please keep me in mind if you ever run across her name.
